Internal candidates should be in present position six months to be eligible for consideration. Political Programs Coordinator MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. A bachelor’s degree. 2. Two (2) plus years on a political campaign, trade association, Capitol Hill, or political/legislative advocacy work. 3. Basic knowledge of industry-related technologies including social media, database management and familiarity with email and fax communication systems. 4. Working knowledge of the political and legislative process is necessary. Knowledge of current events in a political and legislative arena is essential. 5. A professional manner is always expected as well as a team player attitude. 6. Time management, strong communications abilities and excellent writing and research skills are required. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The Political Programs Coordinator handles candidate research process, drafts PAC Board endorsement recommendations, coordinates campaign activity plans on behalf of pro-small business candidates, and assists with GOTV efforts. Assists project manager with organization-wide political communications projects and acts as an additional point of contact for candidates. Compiles state specific voting information for use in voter guides. Maintain current files on congressional districts. Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; work outcomes must meet and / or exceed productivity and quality standards. Must be able to work as part of a cooperative team environment and independent of direct supervision; adhere to Company and Department policies and procedures. Performs other projects as needed.
